Bug\u00fcn gelinen noktada toplumsal cinsiyet ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve \u00f6zellikle kad\u0131nlar\u0131n ekonomik, sosyal ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel alanlardaki haklar\u0131 konusunda olduk\u00e7a ciddi bir yol katedilmi\u015ftir. Ancak hala cinsiyet e\u015fitli\u011fi sa\u011flanamad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve kad\u0131na \u015fiddet s\u00fcrd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc i\u00e7in &nbsp;gidilecek \u00e7ok yol vard\u0131r. Feminist m\u00fccadele ile kazan\u0131lan haklar\u0131n yan\u0131nda son y\u0131llarda yo\u011fun olarak yap\u0131lan akademik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar, sivil toplum&nbsp; ve meslek \u00f6rg\u00fctlerinin \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 da toplumsal cinsiyet alan\u0131ndaki&nbsp; fark\u0131ndal\u0131\u011f\u0131n artmas\u0131na \u00f6nemli bir katk\u0131 sa\u011flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kad\u0131nlar\u0131n toplumsal hayat\u0131n hemen her alan\u0131nda ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011fa ve haks\u0131zl\u0131\u011fa u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6steren pek \u00e7ok ara\u015ft\u0131rma bulunmaktad\u0131r. D\u00fcnyada ve \u00fclkemizde hala e\u011fitim alma ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma \u00f6zg\u00fcrl\u00fckleri k\u0131s\u0131tlanmakta, &nbsp;\u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131nda ise \u00fccret, terfi ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma ko\u015fullar\u0131 bak\u0131m\u0131ndan sorunlarla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015fmaktad\u0131rlar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kad\u0131nlara ili\u015fkin yerle\u015fik toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve kal\u0131pyarg\u0131lar\u0131, kad\u0131nlar\u0131n meslek tercihlerini de etkilemektedir. Bu do\u011frultuda hemen her meslek erkeklere uygun g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcrken baz\u0131 meslekler \u00f6zellikle kad\u0131nlara uygun g\u00f6r\u00fclmekte ve kad\u0131nlar bu mesleklere y\u00f6neltilmektedir. &nbsp;Halkla ili\u015fkiler mesle\u011fi de \u2018kad\u0131n mesle\u011fi\u2019 olarak alg\u0131lanan meslekler i\u00e7inde yer almaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halkla ili\u015fkiler mesle\u011finde kad\u0131n\u0131n konumu y\u0131llard\u0131r \u00fczerinde tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lan bir konudur. Halkla ili\u015fkiler daha \u00e7ok kad\u0131nlar\u0131n tercih etti\u011fi ve istihdam edildi\u011fi bir meslektir. Farkl\u0131 \u00fclkelerde yap\u0131lan \u00e7e\u015fitli ara\u015ft\u0131rmalarda halkla ili\u015fkiler sekt\u00f6r\u00fcnde kad\u0131n oran\u0131n\u0131n erkeklere g\u00f6re daha fazla oldu\u011fu tespit edilmi\u015ftir. Marketing T\u00fcrkiye dergisinin ara\u015ft\u0131rmas\u0131na g\u00f6re (2005), T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de halkla ili\u015fkiler profesyonellerinin %69\u2019u kad\u0131nd\u0131r. T\u00fcrkiye Halkla \u0130li\u015fkiler Derne\u011fi (T\u00dcH\u0130D) \u00fcyelerinin %73\u2019\u00fc kad\u0131nd\u0131r. Ancak meslekte \u00e7o\u011funlu\u011fu olu\u015ftursalar da &nbsp;ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar, kad\u0131nlar\u0131n daha d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck konumlarda istihdam edildi\u011fi, y\u00f6netici konumuna y\u00fckselmek istedi\u011finde ise cam tavanla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131, daha d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck \u00fccretlerle \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131, terfi konular\u0131nda erkeklere g\u00f6re daha dezavantajl\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6stermektedir. (G\u00f6rpe ve \u00d6ks\u00fcz, 2014) &nbsp;Amerika Halkla \u0130li\u015fkiler Derne\u011fi\u2019nin 2010 y\u0131l\u0131nda yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u201c\u0130\u015f, Hayat ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet\u201d ba\u015fl\u0131kl\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmas\u0131na g\u00f6re de kad\u0131n ve erkekler aras\u0131nda, maa\u015f ve roller a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00f6nemli farkl\u0131l\u0131klar bulunmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halkla ili\u015fkiler alan\u0131nda kad\u0131nlar\u0131n y\u00f6netici pozisyonlara gelmeleri zordur ancak bu f\u0131rsat\u0131 yakalayanlar\u0131n ne kadar ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olduklar\u0131 da g\u00f6r\u00fclmektedir. Her kad\u0131n\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 toplumsal cinsiyet ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 konusundaki engellerle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015fmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de halkla ili\u015fkiler mesle\u011finin olu\u015fmas\u0131na ve geli\u015fmesine b\u00fcy\u00fck katk\u0131 sa\u011flayan ve mesle\u011finde en \u00fcst noktaya ula\u015fmay\u0131 ba\u015faran Bet\u00fcl Mardin bu anlamda g\u00fczel bir \u00f6rnektir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bet\u00fcl Mardin T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de halkla ili\u015fkiler mesle\u011finin duayen ismidir. K\u00f6kl\u00fc ve geleneklere \u00f6nem veren bir aileden gelen Mardin, e\u011fitimini babas\u0131n\u0131n karar\u0131 nedeniyle b\u0131rakmak zorunda kalm\u0131\u015f, &nbsp;o g\u00fcnk\u00fc ad\u0131yla Arnavutk\u00f6y K\u0131z Koleji e\u011fitimini tamamlad\u0131ktan sonra \u00fcniversiteye devam etmesine izin verilmemi\u015ftir. O g\u00fcnlerde kad\u0131nlar\u0131n e\u011fitim alma \u015fanslar\u0131 \u00e7ok d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in bu bile b\u00fcy\u00fck bir f\u0131rsat say\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 e\u011fitiminin de katk\u0131s\u0131yla \u00e7e\u015fitli i\u015flerde \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131ktan sonra 1969 y\u0131l\u0131nda ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 Akbank\u2019taki i\u015fiyle halkla ili\u015fkiler mesle\u011finde ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olarak kendini ispatlam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu d\u00f6nemlerde halkla ili\u015fkiler mesle\u011finin bilinmemesinin yan\u0131nda bir ba\u015fka sorun da T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de kad\u0131nlar\u0131n \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma hayat\u0131nda yer almalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7ok zor olmas\u0131 ve erkek egemen bir d\u00fcnyada e\u015fitsiz ko\u015fullarda \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmak zorunda kalmalar\u0131d\u0131r. Bet\u00fcl Mardin, halkla ili\u015fkilerin di\u011fer bir \u00f6nemli ismi Alaeddin Asna ile birlikte <em>A&amp;B \u0130leti\u015fim <\/em>ajans\u0131n\u0131 ve sonralar\u0131 <em>\u0130mage <\/em>isimli halkla ili\u015fkiler ajans\u0131n\u0131 kurmu\u015ftur. Halkla ili\u015fkilerle ilgili uluslararas\u0131 toplant\u0131lar d\u00fczenlemi\u015f daha da ileri giderek 1995 y\u0131l\u0131nda <em>Uluslararas\u0131 Halkla \u0130li\u015fkiler Derne\u011finin (IPRA)<\/em> &nbsp;ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 yapm\u0131\u015f, mesle\u011fin geli\u015fimi konusunda her alanda m\u00fccadele etmi\u015ftir. Deneyimlerini \u00fcniversitede verdi\u011fi derslerle \u00f6\u011frencilerle payla\u015fm\u0131\u015f bu ama\u00e7la Fak\u00fcltemizde de dersler vermi\u015ftir. Ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 bir halkla ili\u015fkiler uzman\u0131 olmas\u0131n\u0131n yan\u0131s\u0131ra bir kad\u0131n olarak ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 kariyeri ve g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc duru\u015fuyla da \u00f6rnek&nbsp; g\u00f6sterilecek bir fig\u00fcrd\u00fcr.
