D\u00fcnyadaki en y\u00fcksek enerji CERN\u2019de \u00fcretilmektedir. Bu da 14 Triyon TeV enerjisidir. 7 TeV elektron ve 7 TeV protonun \u00e7arp\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131yla elde edilir.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Bu enerji ne yapar?<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Sonucunda asl\u0131nda hi\u00e7bir \u015fey yapmaz. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fma sonunda geriye 100 sivrisinek kanad\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u0131rp\u0131\u015f\u0131 kadar bir enerji kal\u0131r. Ama h\u0131zland\u0131rma esnas\u0131nda \u00f6n\u00fcne bir insan ya da bir madde ge\u00e7erse onu yok eder.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Neden h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r?<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Daha derine, k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fc\u011fe bakabilmek i\u00e7in daha y\u00fcksek enerjiye ihtiya\u00e7 vard\u0131r. Bu y\u00fczden h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;de CERN-CMS Deneyi&#8217;nin \u00d6nc\u00fcs\u00fc Kimdir ?<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Dr. Perihan Torun&#8217;un \u00f6\u011frencisi Prof. Dr. G\u00fclsen \u00d6neng\u00fct 1972 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130lk doktoray\u0131 yazm\u0131\u015f ve \u00f6nc\u00fcs\u00fc olmu\u015ftur. Saniyede 40 milyon poz \u00e7eken, en az 10 bin megapiksellik bir kameraya benzer. G\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcledikleri proton ve n\u00f6tron \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 sonucunda ortada kalan verileridir. Yani proton n\u00f6tron \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 sonunda ortada kalan verileri g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclemeye yarar. CMS\u2019nin bir foto\u011fraf makinesine benzemesinin nedeni, foto\u011fraf makinesinin g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcy\u00fc olu\u015fturmak i\u00e7in pikselleri\u00a0 kolektifle\u015ftirmesi gibi CMS makineside \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fan proton ve n\u00f6tronlar\u0131n sonucunu bir g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fc elde etmek i\u00e7in kolektifle\u015ftiren\u00a0 ve fitreler yapan bilgisayar olu\u015fudur. Amac\u0131 b\u00fct\u00fcn\u00fc olu\u015fturan par\u00e7alardan i\u015fe yarayanlar\u0131 filtrelemek ve g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcye eklemektir.<\/p>\n<h1>CERN&#8217;\u00fcn amac\u0131 nedir?<\/h1>\n<p>Toplant\u0131lar sonucunda CERN \u00c7al\u0131\u015fma Kurulu, CERN&#8217;\u00fcn amac\u0131n\u0131n bilim insanlar\u0131n\u0131 bir araya getirerek teknolojiyi geli\u015ftirmek oldu\u011funu belirtmi\u015flerdir. CERN\u2018\u00fcn as\u0131l kurulma amac\u0131 temel bilim yapmakt\u0131r. Ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f amac\u0131 bilgisayarlar aras\u0131nda datay\u0131 yani veriyi payla\u015f\u0131ma a\u00e7abilmek, bilgisayarlar\u0131 birbirleriyle ileti\u015fime sokmakt\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131lar\u0131 geli\u015ftirmekte CERN\u2019\u00fcn ama\u00e7lar\u0131 aras\u0131ndad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bahsi ge\u00e7en h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131lar ise elde edilmek istenen bulgunun ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131 i\u00e7in elektron ve protonlar\u0131n ivme kazand\u0131r\u0131l\u0131p birbirleriyle \u00e7arp\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 sonucu hedefe uygun bulgunun elementlerini say\u0131sal veriler \u00fczerinde elde etmektir. Bunun sonucunda ise teknolojilerin nereye evrilece\u011fi saptanabiliyor.<\/p>\n<p>Daha derine, k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fc\u011fe bakabilmek i\u00e7in daha y\u00fcksek enerjiye ihtiya\u00e7 vard\u0131r. \u0130\u015fte CERN en k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck maddeyi g\u00f6rebilmek i\u00e7in en y\u00fcksek enerjiyi sa\u011flayabilecek makineyi \u00fcretmek i\u00e7in var.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CERN\u2019de T\u00fcrkiye\u2019yi temsil eden tek \u00fcniversite \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi mi? Ba\u015fka \u00fcniversiteler veya profes\u00f6rler var m\u0131? \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nin CERN-CMS Deneyine kat\u0131lmas\u0131ndaki rol\u00fc ne? \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi olarak ne yap\u0131yoruz?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bug\u00fcn 22 \u00fclke CERN&#8217;e \u00fcyedir. Uluslararas\u0131 bir camiada b\u00fct\u00fcn d\u00fcnyan\u0131n kat\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 CERN\u2019e kat\u0131labilmek i\u00e7in 1994\u2019ten beri \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yor, 1998\u2019den beri CERN\u2019e gidip geliyorum. 2000\u2019den sonra da Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nden ald\u0131\u011f\u0131m bir teklifle CERN\u2019de kat\u0131l\u0131mlar\u0131m\u0131 s\u0131kla\u015ft\u0131rd\u0131m. O zamanlar CERN\u2019e \u00fcye olan 4 tane \u00fcniversite ve bu 4 \u00fcniversitenin alt\u0131nda CERN \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na kat\u0131lan \u00fcniversiteler vard\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Bu 4 \u00fcniversite ise;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i \u00dcniversitesi ve bunun alt\u0131nda CERN\u2019e kat\u0131lan \u00fcniversiteler \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi ve Marmara \u00dcniversitesi\u2019ydi.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c7ukurova \u00dcniversitesi<\/li>\n<li>ODT\u00dc<\/li>\n<li>\u0130stanbul Teknik \u00dcniversitesi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Daha sonra \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi Rekt\u00f6rl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc\u2019nden CERN-CMS deneyine tam \u00fcye olmam\u0131z i\u00e7in bana teklif geldi ve sonra CERN-CMS Deneyi i\u00e7in tam \u00fcyelik ba\u015fvurusunda bulunduk. 8 Aral\u0131k 2018\u2019de \u00fcniversitemizi bir sunumla CERN \u00fcyelerine tan\u0131tt\u0131m. Ba\u015fvurumuz da 9 \u015eubat 2019\u2019da 200 enstit\u00fc taraf\u0131ndan oyland\u0131 ve kesinle\u015fti. Bu tarihe kadar CERN-CMS Deneylerine y\u00f6nelik yay\u0131nlar\u0131m Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i \u00dcniversitesi ad\u0131na \u00e7\u0131karken art\u0131k \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi ad\u0131na \u00e7\u0131kacak. \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nin CERN-CMS Deneylerine kat\u0131lmas\u0131ndaki rol\u00fc budur. Yani art\u0131k bizde bir \u015femsiye \u00fcniversitesi olaca\u011f\u0131z ve bizimde alt\u0131m\u0131zda toplanacak olan \u00fcniversiteler olacakt\u0131r, hatta vard\u0131r. Bunlardan baz\u0131lar\u0131 Mimar Sinan \u00dcniversitesi, Ege \u00dcniversitesi, Cerrahpa\u015fa \u00dcniversitesi ve di\u011fer Anadolu \u00fcniversiteleri olarak s\u0131ralayabiliriz.<\/p>\n<p>Orada CMS \u2019nin iki alt dedekt\u00f6r\u00fcnde kat\u0131l\u0131m ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftiriyoruz. Bizim \u00fclkemizde CERN gibi bir n\u00fckleer ara\u015ft\u0131rma merkezi var m\u0131? Yoksa neden yok?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En ba\u015fta belirtmeliyim ki CERN gibi bir olu\u015fum tek bir \u00fclkeyi a\u015far. Kapsaml\u0131 bir olu\u015fum olmas\u0131ndan dolay\u0131 tek bir \u00fclke kuramaz. Buna ciddi oranda her alanda olmak \u00fczere kaynak gerekir. Ayr\u0131ca CERN d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131s\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;de CERN gibi kapsaml\u0131 bir N\u00fckleer Ara\u015ft\u0131rma Merkez bulunmamaktad\u0131r. Ancak T\u00fcrkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu, T\u00fcrk H\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 Merkezi, T\u00fcrkiye Tek H\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc ve y\u00fczlerde Medikal H\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 Merkezleri var. Bu merkezler tek bir \u00e7at\u0131 alt\u0131nda toplanmay\u0131p her biri kendi \u00f6zg\u00fcn alanlar\u0131 \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde benzer ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar yapmaktad\u0131r.
